Wedding Industry Experts Join Together, Launch Cold Feet Questions

Cold Feet Questions (ColdFeetQuestions.com), the leading resource for couples anxious about getting married, launched today as a joint venture between bridal counselor Allison Moir-Smith, event planner and wedding etiquette expert Marcy Blum, and Bridal Brokerage, the leader in buying and selling cancelled weddings.

“Allison, Marcy, and Bridal Brokerage recognized the need to centralize a wealth of valuable information on one website,” said Jeff Smidt, Chief Marketing Officer of Bridal Brokerage. “Couples shouldn’t need to sort through mountains of search results during a very emotional time in their lives.”

At Cold Feet Questions, Moir-Smith first helps couples to evaluate the source of their engagement anxiety. Afterwards, if a couple decides to call off their wedding, Blum advises on proper wedding cancellation etiquette and Bridal Brokerage works with couples to sell their cancelled wedding ceremony.

According to a recent UCLA study, in two-thirds of couples, one or both partners have doubts about getting married. While over 250,000 weddings are called off annually, America’s divorce rate still leads all nations at 50%.

“Just this fall, research confirmed the long-term impact of cold feet,” said Allison Moir-Smith, Founder of Emotionally Engaged Counseling for Brides. “Brides with doubts are significantly more likely to get divorced, and the emotional trauma associated with divorce is far worse than that of cancelling a wedding. We want couples to feel as comfortable about their relationship as possible when they walk down that aisle.”

In addition to providing content from Moir-Smith, Blum, and Bridal Brokerage, Cold Feet Questions refers couples to a variety of books, articles, and online videos about cold feet. Cold Feet Questions also hosts an online forum for couples to share their personal stories about overcoming cold feet or cancelling their weddings.

“Everyone hopes for ‘happily ever after,’ but it realistically doesn’t happen 100% of the time,” said Marcy Blum, President of Marcy Blum Associates. “If the right decision is to cancel the wedding, there’s also a right way to handle that decision.”

Access to Cold Feet Questions is entirely free. Industry experts who wish to contribute additional content are invited to reach out to info(at)coldfeetquestions(dot)com
